Fairphone is preparing to release the fifth generation of its smartphone, and renderings have appeared on the Web. Fairphone 4 came out at the end of 2021, so the update is really overdue.
The new model will be very similar to the current generation. The shape of the camera module will be exactly the same, but the novelty will receive a screen with a narrower frame. The front camera this time will be located in the hole, and not in the waterdrop notch.
Fairphone 5 showed up in first renders
Like all Fairphone models, the novelty will stand out for its excellent maintainability. It will be possible to replace literally everything on your own, since all the main components have a modular design. Given the identical design of the camera to the previous one, it is possible that these modules will be compatible at all.
There are no specs for the new model, but the Fairphone 4 is based on the Snapdragon 750G and offers up to 8GB of RAM, a 48MP camera and a 3900mAh battery.
