Since its release in June 2018, Among Us has been available on PC, mobile, and more recently on Nintendo Switch. I wonder if it can be run on the old Nintendo Wii? One of the fans of the game decided to check it out.

A fan of Among Us posted the result of his work on Reddit and explained that the game on the Nintendo Wii works through a PC. Basically, he connected both devices to the router using two Ethernet adapters. The enthusiast then used WiiVNC and TightVNC Server solutions to stream Among Us to Wii from PC.

At the same time, the user-specified that playing Among Us on Nintendo Wii is inconvenient since the project is played at a frequency of … one frame per second. But he is happy that he was able to stream the game to the old console. In the end, Doom and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim were also forced to work on devices that were not intended for this, clearly not for the purpose of a comfortable game.

Among Us is a social deductive game where a team of astronauts must prepare a spaceship for flight. However, among them, there is an impostor (sometimes more than one), whose goal is in every possible way to sabotage the operation of the ship’s systems and kill other players.
