Power temporarily increases to 858 hp.
Ferrari has introduced the Ferrari 499P Modificata, which is not intended for competition. This allows Ferrari to customize the cars in ways that Le Mans rules do not allow.
For example, according to FIA regulations, the electric motor on the front axle can now operate at lower speeds, not just above 190 km/h. This setup means drivers will be able to take advantage of the all-wheel drive system more often.
Ferrari is also adding a Push to Pass system. Pressing a button behind the wheel unlocks an additional 161 hp. by 7.0 seconds. This increases the maximum powertrain output to 858 hp. instead of the usual 697 hp.
Ferrari 499P Modificata presented
Minor changes to the Modificata include changes to the engine and handling. Changes to traction control logic and driving assistance logic. The powertrain consists of a mid-mounted 3.0-liter V6 engine that Ferrari borrowed from the 296 GT3 M race car. The powerplant sends power to a seven-speed sequential gearbox.
The Ferrari 499P Modificata has a replica of the cockpit from the Le Mans race car, with just one seat and the same ergonomics as the competition car.
At this time, Ferrari is not saying how many 499P Modificata it plans to build or how much each example will cost.
Also introduced was the first Ferrari with 120-degree cylinder camber in its 690 hp V6 engine.
