Another legend goes
Time spares no one and nothing, including the iconic Ford Fiesta hatchback, which lasted 47 years on the assembly line: on July 7, the production of this model will cease, it will go down in history.
Produce (still) Ford Fiesta in Germany, at a plant in Cologne. The vacated place on the conveyor will be taken by an electric car – a compact Ford Explorer created specifically for Europe (it has nothing to do with the well-known in Russia and popular in the USA Ford Explorer).
Ford Fiesta is everything.
The release of the Ford Fiesta began in 1976 – then cars were offered with different engines ranging from 1.0 to 1.6 liters. It is interesting that now the volumes are the same, but the power is higher due to turbocharging. And the hatchback has added in dimensions, having increased in length over these 47 years by about 50 cm.
Ford has dropped many well-known models over the past few years. Mondeo is no longer for sale, and the S-Max and Galaxy minivans, although present in the European range, are no longer produced .
