Thanks to the work of the very skilled English developers, Forza Horizon 5 for Xbox Series X will in fact be the first video game for consoles to offer 4K resolution in both Quality Mode (30fps) and Performance Mode (60fps).
A noteworthy record, made possible by the excellent scalability of the game’s graphics engine. The 60fps of the Performance mode are in fact achieved thanks to a reduction in the quality of the effects and details, but not in the resolution. Digital Foundry reports the disappearance of some rocks and elements of the vegetation, a drop in the quality of the shaders of some places in Mexico and a reduction in the viewing distance, all sacrifices that can easily be made on the altar of 60fps.
