Foxconn will manufacture desktop computers Huawei Qingyun W510 on 24-core processors

It has long been reported that Huawei is entering the desktop PC market. Over the past few months, there have been many leaks and rumors about an upcoming computer. Recently there were even live photos of him revealing the design. Now the PC has passed 3C certification in China, thanks to which the name of the manufacturer has become known.

According to 3C certification, these computers are assembled by Hongfujin Precision Electronics, a subsidiary of Hon Hai Precision, commonly known under the Foxconn brand.

Note that Huawei has been selling laptops for several years, but there were no stationary PCs in its range before. All laptops run on Intel or AMD processors and mostly run on Microsoft Windows. The company also offers mobile PC models based on the Ubuntu platform. But with its first desktop computer, the company went a different route, which is not surprising given the US sanctions. Reportedly, the computer will run on its own 7nm Huawei HiSilcion Kunpeng 920 3211K processor paired with an AMD Radeon 520 graphics card, 8GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD from Samsung. The operating system is UOS (Unity Operating System), a Chinese Linux distribution from UnionTech.

This machine will reportedly be marketed under the name Qingyun W510. It comes with a 23.8-inch Full HD monitor (1920 × 1080, 70% coverage in the NTSC color space), as well as a keyboard and mouse. In terms of ports, the computer is equipped with seven USB-A connectors, one USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an Ethernet port. An optical drive is also available.

Huawei has yet to announce a launch date for its first desktop PC, which will reportedly only be available in some provinces in China. We have already published performance estimates for the 8-core and 24- core HiSilcion Kunpeng 920 processors. It is the latter that is used in this desktop PC.
