Now this is only for S23 Ultra
The flagships of the Samsung Galaxy S23, although they all belong to the same line and are similar in many ways, are still very divided: the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus are very much inferior to the S23 Ultra in many respects. But in the new generation, at least in one important characteristic, the younger models will become much better.
Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus will get LTPO screens
Insider Ice Universe claims that the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus models will receive LTPO screens, that is, screens whose frame rate can change with a minimum step. Most likely from 1 or 10 Hz to 120 Hz. Now S23 Ultra has such a screen, but S23 and S23 Plus have displays that support 120 Hz, but, firstly, the lower value is 48 Hz versus 1 Hz for Ultra, and secondly, this indicator changes only within several fixed values.
Thus, the younger flagships of the new generation of Samsung will catch up with many competitors in this characteristic of their screens, including models from Chinese manufacturers.
Ice Universe was the first to accurately talk about the new trend for smartphones with waterfall screens, about the notch in the iPhone X, about the new design of the iPhone 14 and about Samsung’s 200-megapixel image sensor.
