GeForce RTX 3060 lags behind RTX 3060 Ti by 18% in Ashes of the Singularity gaming test

According to the VideoCardz website, NVIDIA released a press version of the driver for the new GeForce RTX 3060 graphics accelerator just yesterday. Thus, independent reviewers have only four days left to conduct full tests of this new product.

Meanwhile, the first results of performance measurements of the GeForce RTX 3060 appeared in the Ashes of the Singularity gaming benchmark database. The novelty was tested twice. One of the results can check the video card with standard settings, the second – after manual overclocking.

Tests were conducted at 1080p with a Crazy Picture Quality Profile. In the first test, the card scored 6600 points and showed an average of 67.8 frames / s. In the second test, the result was 6800 points and 69.8 frames / s on average.

The VideoCardz resource has provided a graph comparing other video cards in the same game test with similar settings. It is also worth mentioning that the GeForce RTX 3060 does not have a reference variant, so the results of its performance tests may differ slightly depending on the specific video card model.

With an average of 69 fps, the junior Ampere series graphics card was 21% faster than its predecessor, the GeForce RTX 2060, at least in this test. And the advantage of the novelty over the model of the previous generation of the class above, GeForce RTX 2070, was about 10%. Simultaneously, one cannot fail to notice the tangible lag of the GeForce RTX 3060 from the earlier version of the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti – it is 18%.

The GeForce RTX 3060 in various versions from NVIDIA partners will go on sale on February 25.
