Google Introduces Fall Detection for Pixel Watch, Not Forgetting to Troll Apple

Feature already available

Google Pixel Watch smartwatches can now, like the Apple Watch, detect falls. A new feature has been added with a recent software update.

As with Apple watches, the Pixel Watch uses the device’s sensors and AI to determine when the wearer has fallen. After that, the watch asks the user if everything is in order with him. If he does not respond to beeps and vibration for about a minute, or decides that he needs help, the watch contacts emergency services. Of course, in those countries where such an opportunity is implemented.

In its press release, Google did not fail to troll Apple, stating that skiing (and other sports activities) should not cause such a reaction in the watch. Moreover, the search giant says that the Pixel Watch is able to distinguish between a fall and a situation where a person just stumbled and kept his balance. Recall that the Apple Watch recently got into many media due to the fact that the watch massively called emergency services when the owners of the devices were just skiing.
