Voice chat feature available in beta for Android and iOS

The team of the popular messenger Telegram has begun testing a new feature that users have been expecting for a long time. We are talking about group calls.

True, while these are only group voice calls, video conferencing will have to wait further. The feature is called Voice chat. Voice chat can be created based on a public group.

Within the framework of such a group audio call, all group members or only administrators can communicate; this parameter is set when starting a voice chat. However, anonymous administrators cannot participate in a group call.

At the moment, group voice chats are available in Telegram’s beta version for Android under number 7.3.

In August, the Telegram team launched one-on-one video calls while they are in the test stage.

Updated: The beta version of Telegram 7.3 with group voice chats is also available for iOS.
