Guilty Gear: Strive Developers Announce Early Access Expansion for Premium Edition Buyers

The Japanese studio Arc System Works on its official website announced a change in the content of two of the three console editions of the upcoming anime fighting game Guilty Gear: Strive.

Recall that the extended and full versions of Guilty Gear: Strive on PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 include early access, which until recently included only a part of the game’s content.

As it became known, the developers from Arc System Works decided to expand users’ capabilities who bought the mentioned editions of Guilty Gear: Strive on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

From now on, Early Access on these platforms will include:

  • all online modes (instead of only offline);
  • all chapters of the story campaign (instead of just the prologue);
  • all 15 characters (instead of 13 fighters).Twitter users have noticed that the initial version of the Arc System Works website’s material also contained a mention of an as-yet-unconfirmed second open beta of Guilty Gear: Strive.

    The first such tests took place in February, and after the game was postponed to June, the developers mentioned that they were considering a second open beta. Probably, the announcement is not far off.

    Guilty Gear: Will go on sale on June 11 this year for PC (Steam), PS4, and PS5, but buyers of the extended and full editions will be able to start playing three days before everyone else – on June 8.
