Gundam Breaker 4 and Visions of Mana Dominate Japanese Sales Charts
Gundam Breaker 4, the latest installment in the popular Gundam Builder franchise, has emerged as the best-selling physical game in Japan for the week ending September 1st, 2024. The game sold an impressive 52,825 copies on the Nintendo Switch alone, making it the top-selling title on the platform.
Close Competition from Visions of Mana
Square Enix’s Visions of Mana, a remake of the classic PlayStation game, also performed well, securing the second spot on the sales charts. The game sold 30,696 copies on the PlayStation 5 and 10,068 copies on the PlayStation 4.
Strong Console Sales
The gaming industry in Japan continues to thrive, with strong sales for both consoles and games. The Nintendo Switch OLED model remains the top-selling console, followed by the PlayStation 5. The Xbox Series consoles, while still lagging behind their competitors, have seen steady sales growth.
