The Duke and Duchess of Sussex recently released a statement with Spotify announcing both parties had agreed to mutually part ways, with just 12 episodes of Meghan’s podcast series “Archetypes” released.
The couple’s deal with Netflix worth a reported $100million is continuing at pace, with their six-part documentary series from last December smashing several viewership records for the online streaming giant.
But despite this resounding success, the show this week failed to make the list of nominations for the Primetime Emmys.
Mark Boardman, a showbiz writer and media commentator who is also Entertainment Editor at MarkMeets, believes the couple must now “learn from this experience”.
He has also pinpointed key career strengths for Meghan and Harry as individuals, telling Daily Express US: “Moving forward, it becomes crucial for Harry and Meghan to shift their focus to the broader impact of their work.
“They must emphasize the value they bring to the industry through their creative vision, storytelling abilities, and the ability to spark meaningful conversations.
“Instead of dwelling on the disappointment of the nomination snub, they should redirect their energy towards creating content that resonates with audiences and contributes to positive change.
“In order to strengthen their position in the media landscape, both individually and as a couple, Harry and Meghan need to redefine themselves and explore new avenues.
