The Pixel 5 technically uses an aluminum back panel, according to new information. However, a thin layer of the so-called “biological resin” is applied to it. You can feel it when you hold the smartphone in your hands. The aluminum base only maintains the rigidity of the case. However, it has a cutout for the wireless charging induction coil hidden from the user’s eyes under a layer of painted resin. Google argues that the reel is impossible to feel, as the resin layer is incredibly hard and durable despite its small thickness.

Why didn’t the company use the classic glass back solution? It is reported that the aluminum body, covered with “biological resin” is obtained much thinner, which allows you to keep the compact dimensions of the device when using a capacious battery.
