Presentation next week
We carefully watched the first video showing the upcoming Nothing Phone (2) smartphone before the official announcement, and yet we found a number of differences from the original smartphone.
Recall that the famous blogger Marques Brownlee (Marques Brownlee) with 17 million subscribers on YouTube got the opportunity to test the smartphone before its presentation. He recorded a large video demonstrating the smartphone itself and its capabilities.
The Nothing Phone (2) is slightly larger than its predecessor, with slightly redesigned LED backlighting and a curved glass design. The number of backlight settings on the rear panel has grown from 12 to 33.
Yes, the most notable change, aside from the curved glass on the back, is for the LEDs. Only at first glance it seems that nothing has changed, but upon closer inspection, the changes are clearly visible.
How Nothing Phone (2) is different from Nothing Phone (1)
The open ring around the camera is now in two parts, and the circle around the wireless charging coil is now divided into six separate parts. Brownlee confirms that it’s still just white LEDs (RGB lighting rumors have not been confirmed), but this time the software offers more control.
The LEDs can react to pressing the volume buttons and flash to the beat of the seconds when the timer counts down. Nothing promises to add the ability to control LEDs to other applications.
The Glyph interface can also now light up differently when a notification appears in a certain application.
Nothing Phone (2) is scheduled to premiere on July 11th.
