Huawei designs new types of screens for its own mobile devices

Applications were sent to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Huawei wants to acquire the rights to the MateDisplay and MateScreen brands.

The documentation states that these names can be used in relation to computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, smartwatches, TVs, wearable devices, etc.

Observers believe the MateDisplay and MateScreen panels could form the basis of Huawei’s next-generation laptops. There is also the possibility that we are talking about screens for flexible smartphones.

One way or another, the displays of the new type will be used in devices of the Mate family, which already includes cell phones of the same name, MateBook portable computers, and MatePad tablets.
