Sales have already begun
As expected, today at a presentation in China, Huawei presented its flagship tablet, the MatePad Pro. This is a huge gadget with a diagonal of 13.2 inches – it is positioned as the world’s thinnest and lightest large tablet with an edge-to-edge screen.
The tablet weighs 580 grams, the thickness is 5.5 mm, the screen frames are only 3.4 mm wide, and the screen occupies 94% of the front panel area. The manufacturer compares the device with the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, which turned out to be heavier and thicker.
Huawei MatePad Pro with flexible OLED screen introduced
The tablet has a flexible OLED screen with a resolution of 2880 × 1920 pixels and an image refresh rate of 144 Hz. The hardware basis was the Kirin 9000s platform, as in the Mate 60 series smartphones. Also among the characteristics are a front camera (16 MP and 3D ToF), a primary camera (13 and 8 MP), six speakers (two high-frequency and four low-frequency), a battery with a capacity of 10 100 mAh with support for 88 W charging and HarmonyOS 4 operating system.
Along with the tablet, the third-generation M-Pencil stylus is presented. It will be one of the first devices to support StarLight connectivity technology and support recognition of up to 10 thousand pressure levels.
Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2 is offered in three color options: blue, white, and black. Orders begin today at $711, with open sales beginning September 28, 2023.
