Leaci lettering instead of Leica makes you wonder
Renders of Huawei P50 and P50 Pro smartphones have already been published on the Web several times, and the camera unit always looked uniform – in the form of a large oval. But in these images, the P50 prototype is completely different – with around stamping offset to the edge of the case.

This design is somewhat reminiscent of the Huawei Mate 30, only there the main camera unit is located in the center. It is doubtful that such a solution was used in the P50 – after all, the design should evolve, and not roll back two years ago. In addition, the Leica brand is spelled incorrectly – another argument in favor of the fact that the photographed smartphone is just a prototype, moreover, far from the production model.
The front panel does not look unusual – we have already seen a dual camera in the same P40. However, the Huawei P50 is credited with an embedded single front camera like most of this year’s flagships. It probably will.
However, it is possible that we will still see a production model with a similar design: this is how one of the younger models of the P50 line could look like. For example, the P50 Lite.
