Huawei P60 Pro scores 16 points higher than Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

Huawei has officially unveiled its new flagship P60 Pro in Europe. Europeans are offered two versions of the model – with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of flash memory for 1200 euros and with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of flash memory for 1400 euros. Not cheap, but for those who decide to pre-order, there is a bonus: a smart watch Huawei Watch GT 3 46 mm. And that is not all. For example, you can buy Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 headphones in the kit for 130 euros (if you buy headphones separately, you will have to pay 200 euros).

At the same time, DxOMark specialists published a large review of the Huawei P60 Pro camera: quite expectedly, it topped the DxOMark rating, overtaking both Honor Magic5 Pro and Oppo Find X6 Pro. On account of Huawei P60 Pro 156 points. For comparison: the camera of the best iPhone – iPhone 14 Pro Max – is rated at 146 points. And the result of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra camera test is 140 points.

The sensation is that the Huawei P60 Pro does not have a single inch sensor, and a 13-megapixel sensor is used in the module with an ultra-wide angle lens. For comparison: the same Honor Magic5 Pro and Oppo Find X6 Pro have 50-megapixel sensors. In other words, Huawei has once again demonstrated that you can get an excellent result without large inch sensors (like Xiaomi) or high-resolution sensors (Samsung), and without partnering with giants from the world of photography like Leica or Hasselblad.

DxOMark praises the Huawei P60 Pro camera for its overall capabilities (it is called “ideal for all types of photos and videos in all lighting conditions”), for excellent results in low light conditions, for the accuracy of skin tones, for a high level of detail in all zoom ranges, outstanding macro capabilities (especially with a telephoto lens). There are also disadvantages, but they are insignificant (like unnatural rendering of details in difficult shooting conditions).

It is interesting that not the top model of the line received such a high rating: the Huawei P60 Art, unlike the Huawei P60 Pro, has just improved the sensor of the module with an ultra-wide-angle lens. Perhaps if the top model of the line had been tested, the result would have been even better.
