To date, only five starts have been completed from Vostochny. This year, it was planned to organize five more launches, but in fact, not a single one has been completed yet. It is expected that the only launch in 2020 will take place in December – 36 OneWeb satellites are to go into space.

In 2021, the intensity of launches from the East should increase. “ Next year we plan to carry out about six to seven launches from Vostochny and further [their number] to increase, ” TASS quoted Mr. Rogozin as saying.

It is from the Vostochny cosmodrome that the Luna-25 automatic station, which is being created under the Luna-Glob project, is to be launched next year. This device will study the surface of our planet’s natural satellite in the circumpolar region, as well as develop soft landing technology.
