Kirin 820 probably has the same NPU as Kirin 990
Already the day after tomorrow, the Honor 30S smartphone will be presented, which should please the freshest Kirin 820 platform and support for 40-watt charging, as in the current flagships of Huawei.
We don’t know what Kirin 820 is capable of in tests like AnTuTu and Geekbench, but now we can evaluate its performance in AI Benchmark.
As you can see, the result is impressive. Kirin 820 performs at the level of Kirin 990, that is, the current top-end platform of Huawei, albeit not at the level of the older modification Kirin 990 5G. It is possible that the new single-chip system of Huawei simply received the same NPU as the Kirin 990 – hence a very similar result.

Recall that the Kirin 990 NPU contains one large core and one small, while the Kirin 990 5G already has two large cores, making the Huawei P40 the undisputed leader in this benchmark.
