The older model will have a telephoto camera with a three-fold zoom
In recent years, the absence of a “telephoto” has become the norm, even in basic versions of flagships, not to mention mid-budget smartphones. However, perhaps Realme will decide to change the situation. It is reported that in the Realme 12 line, older models will have a camera with optical zoom.
Inexpensive smartphones Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ will receive “TVs”
Insider Digital Chat Station claims that not only the oldest model Realme 12 Pro+ but also Realme 12 Pro will receive such a camera. The “television” of these devices will be different: the younger model will receive a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with a lens that provides a twofold zoom, and the older one will be equipped with a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B sensor, and the zoom will be threefold.
Considering that Realme 11 Pro and Pro+ are fairly inexpensive smartphones, it is likely that the new models will become more expensive, if at all, but only slightly.
It’s also worth saying that the image above supposedly shows the Realme 12 Pro+, but here we can see a periscope “telephoto”, and a smartphone with a price of about $250 is unlikely to have that.
