While it concerns nine models
Intel has begun phasing out production of Tiger Lake processors. These CPUs will reach the End of Life status en masse only by January 2024.
But now Intel is ending production of almost a dozen models: Core i5-11260H, Core i5-1140H, Core i7-11800H, Core i7-11600H, Core i9-11900H, Core i3-11100B, Core i5-11500B, Core i7-11700B and Core i9-11900B. The last four models were used in Intel NUC mini-PCs, that is, they formally belong to the desktop segment, although there were no full-fledged desktop CPUs in the Tiger Lake line at all.
Intel sends almost a dozen of its very successful CPUs to rest.
Recall that Tiger Lake became the first truly successful 10-nanometer Intel processors. It was with the Tiger Lake generation that the company’s processors, at least in the mobile segment, were able to adequately compete with AMD Ryzen, and in terms of iGPU too.
