Documentation found by VentureBeat suggests that the latest iPhone 12 smartphones may have reversible wireless charging for accessories. However, while this system is simply deactivated.

The documentation on the FCC website states that new Apple devices, in addition to wirelessly recharging their own battery, can wirelessly recharge accessories at a frequency of 360 kHz. Below is an excerpt from the FCC website:

“ In addition to being able to be charged by a desktop WPT charger (puck), 2020 iPhones also support WPT charging function at 360 kHz to charge accessories. Currently, the only accessory that can be charged by iPhones is an external potential apple accessory in the future. ”

Thus, observers conclude that in the future, the function of reversible wireless charging in the iPhone 12 will be available for at least one accessory. This will most likely be the MagSafe case for the new fully wireless submersible AirPods.

Apparently, Apple plans to activate the reversible wireless charging system with a software update, which will be released after the appearance of the new accessory. The “apple” empire itself does not comment on the situation.
