Apple yesterday began distributing iOS 16.3.1 and iPadOS 16.3.1 firmware to users.
These updates include fixes for iCloud, Siri optimizations, Find My, and car crash detection improvements for iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models.

“This update contains important bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone,” Apple said in the update’s accompanying comments.

The car crash detection feature on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro uses G-force sensors in combination with other data to detect crashes. Apple describes the feature as “a fairly dynamic algorithm” and the company is constantly working on improving the algorithm as it collects data from users.
Recall that this function has been repeatedly criticized by rescuers for false positives .
