Only Core i7 stands out

The other day we already saw the characteristics of the Core i9-14900K, i7-14700K and i5-14600K processors , now it’s the turn of the younger models of the Raptor Lake Refresh line, devoid of the letter K, that is, without an unlocked multiplier.

As you can see, in most cases, in comparison with the current generation, the parameters either did not change at all, or changed slightly.

Is Intel going back to 5% performance gains again?

It is worth highlighting the Core i7-14700, which has more cores than the Core i7-13700 (8 + 12 vs 8 + 8). Recall that among the Core i9-14900K, i7-14700K and i5-14600K, only the Core i7 model can boast an increase in the number of cores.

That is, the Core i7-14700/K will provide a significant performance boost compared to its predecessors, but in all other cases it will be very modest, since the number of cores will not change, the architecture will not change, and only the maximum frequencies should increase slightly. According to reports, the 14th generation Core will be introduced in October.

Shared information insider chi11eddog previously accurately described the parameters of the 65-watt Ryzen 7000 and spoke about the Ryzen 5 5600X3D before their announcement.
