Intel will almost repeat what happened last year
The Chinese resource Enthusiastic Citizen (ECSM) has shared details on the timing of the release of the 14th generation Intel Core processors. They will reportedly debut in October of this year, at week 42, which is between October 17 and October 23. The Videocardz resource believes that this period is specified in some kind of Intel roadmap, which has not yet been published.
It became known when the 14th generation Intel Core processors will be released
The launch will traditionally be divided in two: in October, top versions will be released, designated by the K index, and simpler and cheaper models will debut in early 2024 (probably at CES). Thus, Intel will practically repeat the timing and stages of the release of the 13th generation Intel Core processors.
It is noted that the new CPUs will be compatible with current motherboards with a processor socket LGA1700 – with the exception of the Core i7-14700K, which should receive a new configuration with 8 high-performance cores and 12 energy efficient ones.
ECSM also writes about next-generation Intel desktop processors – Arrow Lake. It will be a big architecture update with a new socket (probably LGA1851). Three chipsets will be released for these CPUs – Z890, B860 and H810.
