A model called Rocket X5 has a read speed of over 14 GB / s, and a write speed of more than 12 GB / s. The fastest models on the market are currently limited to 12 GB/s. The performance of the prototype reaches 1.56 and 1.67 million IOPS.
It is the fastest consumer SSD with PCIe 5.0.
At the same time, the manufacturer says that the production model can be even faster.
The new Rocket X5 is still in the process of tuning and we expect performance to improve even further. It still has to be a finished product, but we’re moving forward with the technology we have now. A lot is still subject to change, including the name, label and heatsink.
