The new Chery crossover, called Jetour Shanghai L9, will be officially released on November 14 in China. Shanhai is a new Jetour series of hybrid cars, which is a Chery brand. The model will compete with the second generation hybrid BYD Frigate 07 and Haval Big Dog PHEV.
Jetour Shanghai L9 will have a body measuring 4862 x 1925 x 1784 mm and a wheelbase of 2850 mm. Three seating arrangements will be offered: five-seater (2+3), six-seater (2+2+2) and seven-seater (2+3+2). In addition, the Jetour Shanghai L9 is equipped with 19-inch (235/55 R19) or 20-inch (255/45 R20) wheels.
The rear features pass-through lamps, a roof spoiler, a high-mounted brake light and dual exhaust tips. The Chinese character for Shanhai L9 C-DM is located in the lower right corner.

The interior is equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel with a cut-off lower part, a rectangular LCD instrument panel and a large floating central control screen. At the same time, the center console features a wireless mobile phone charging pad, two retractable cup holders and a gear shift lever.
The powertrain features a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a 1.5L four-cylinder engine producing 156 hp. and an electric motor coupled to a 3-speed DHT gearbox. The maximum speed is 180 km/h, the fuel consumption of the integrated system is 1.49 l/100 km. Its triple lithium battery with a capacity of 19.43 kWh provides a WLTC all-electric range of 84 km.
