But definitely not a flagship

For several years, Huawei has been under US sanctions, which, among other things, forced it to almost completely abandon its own Kirin single-chip systems. But it looks like those platforms will be making a comeback soon.

Well-known insider Digital Chat Station has stated that Kirin chips are making a comeback. Details are at a minimum. It is known that this will not be a flagship platform, which is quite logical, since in order to compete with the top solutions of Qualcomm and MedaiTek, it is not enough to create a good SoC – you also need the most modern technical process. And Huawei does not have access to this.

What will be the new platform, one can only guess. Perhaps this will be a very budget solution, which will finally replace the already very outdated Kirin 710.

Early rumors said that Huawei will continue to use the 12nm process, in which case you should not count on something powerful enough.

Digital Chat Station was previously the first to accurately announce the specifications and release dates of Redmi K30, K40, Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 11.
