It meets the US military standard MIL-STD-810H
In Russia, Kyocera is not known as a smartphone manufacturer, unlike in the US: the company supplies the local market with rugged devices, and the latest Duraforce Pro 3 is just one of them.
Unlike Chinese rugged smartphones, which are usually built on weak MediaTek platforms, the powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is installed here. The amount of RAM is 6 GB, the built-in flash memory is 128 GB.
The smartphone is protected from water in accordance with the degree of IP68 and meets the requirements of the American military standard MIL-STD-810H. The screen is small, but based on an OLED panel – with a diagonal of 5.38 inches, Full HD + resolution and a standard frame rate of 60 Hz.
Kyocera Duraforce Pro 3 introduced
Usually rugged smartphones are equipped with very large batteries, but the Kyocera Duraforce Pro 3 is not the case: the battery capacity is only 4270 mAh. But it’s removable. So a full “recharge” occurs in seconds. Wireless charging is also supported – with a power of 8.1 watts.
The front camera of the model is with an 8-megapixel sensor, the main one is with sensors with a resolution of 64, 16 and 2 megapixels. Other features include Android 13, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E adapters, front-facing stereo speakers, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The characteristics are very interesting, but the price is considerable – $ 900! For comparison, a rugged Samsung Galaxy XCover 6 Pro costs $600 in the US.
