Liam Payne’s Posthumous Single Delayed Out of Respect for His Family
Sam Pounds, a producer associated with the late singer Liam Payne, has announced a delay in the release of a posthumous single titled “Do No Wrong.” The decision comes out of respect for Payne’s family during their time of grief.
Pounds initially planned to release the song on November 1st, less than three weeks after Payne’s tragic death. However, he has since changed his mind, stating that “it’s not the time yet.” He expressed his intention to prioritize the family’s wishes, emphasizing that the song’s release should be timed appropriately.
“I want all proceeds to go to a charity of [the family’s] choosing (or however they desire),” Pounds stated. “Even though we all love the song, it’s not the time yet. We are all still mourning the passing of Liam and I want the family to morn [sic] in peace and in prayer. We will all wait.”
Payne’s untimely death at the age of 34 has sent shockwaves through the music industry and among his fans worldwide. The singer, best known for his time with the boy band One Direction, passed away due to injuries sustained from a fall from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
His former bandmates, including Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson, have expressed their grief and paid tribute to Payne’s memory. Zayn Malik, another former member of One Direction, postponed the U.S. leg of his tour following the tragic news.
The decision to delay the release of “Do No Wrong” demonstrates sensitivity and respect for Payne’s family during this difficult time. It allows them to grieve privately and honor his memory in their own way.
As the music industry mourns the loss of a talented artist, it’s important to remember that Payne’s legacy will live on through his music and the impact he made on millions of fans around the world.
