Margo Martindale Joins Paramount+’s JonBenét Ramsey Series

The highly anticipated Paramount+ limited series about JonBenét Ramsey continues to attract top-tier talent. The latest addition to the star-studded cast is the three-time Emmy winner, Margo Martindale. Known for her powerful performances in shows like The Americans and Justified, Martindale will be joining the series in a recurring role.

A Pivotal Role in the Ramsey Family

Martindale will portray Nedra, the mother of Patsy Ramsey (Melissa McCarthy) and grandmother to JonBenét. The character is described as “tough, blunt, outspoken, and unafraid to speak her mind.” Nedra’s presence is sure to add a layer of complexity and drama to the already compelling story.

At its core, the series will focus on the unbreakable partnership between Patsy and John Ramsey, their unwavering love for their child, and the shattered world they were forced to navigate.

Behind the Scenes

Richard LaGravenese, known for his work on films like Unbroken and Behind the Candelabra, is serving as the showrunner and writer of the series. He is collaborating with Harrison Query and Tommy Wallach, who sold the project to producers MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. Anne Sewitsky, director of the acclaimed film Presumed Innocent, will helm four of the eight episodes.

Production and Release

Production on the JonBenét Ramsey series is set to begin soon in Calgary. The series is expected to premiere on Paramount+ in the near future.
