And the frequencies are even slightly lower than those of the Dimensity 6080
MediaTek decided to further expand its line of single-chip systems and introduced SoC Dimensity 6100+.
Formally, this is a new SoC, and not a renamed old one, like the same Dimensity 6080, but the problem is that technically there is nothing new there. Dimensity 6100+ almost completely copies Dimensity 6080 and 6020.
MediaTek, why so many identical platforms?
There are the same two Cortex-A76 cores with a frequency of 2.2 GHz, six Cortrex-A55 cores with a frequency of 2 GHz and a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Moreover, the same Dimensity 6080 frequency of large cores is even higher, although the index of this platform is lower.
Of the announced differences, there is also Bluetooth 5.2 support for the new platform versus Bluetooth 5.1 for the Dimensity 6080. Everything else seems to be completely identical, including the 6 nm process technology.
That is, there is also support for cameras with a resolution of 108 megapixels and 120 Hz Full HD + screens, only Wi-Fi 5 and UFS 2.2 / LPDDR4x memory.
