This is one of the most affordable flagships on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
Yesterday Redmi presented its flagship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 , and today it’s Meizu’s turn. The company introduced Meizu 21, and it turned out to be not much more expensive than Redmi K70.
The new Meizu flagship turned out to be a fairly compact model – the screen diagonal made by Samsung was 6.55 inches. The thickness of the screen frame is only 1.74 mm (on all sides). The PWM adjustment frequency was 1920 Hz. Below the screen is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner of the latest generation, which unlocks the smartphone in just 0.075 seconds.
Meizu 21 presented
To cool the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a large CO with an area of 37,345 mm 2 is provided , but Meizu does not specify the area of the vapor chamber. The battery capacity is 4800 mAh, it supports wired charging with a power of 80 W. Not bad for a smartphone with a body thickness of 7.9 mm and a weight of 198 grams.
The cameras use only Samsung sensors. The front camera has a 32-megapixel Samsung S5KJD1, the main one has a 200-megapixel Samsung S5KHP3 (with OIS), a 12-megapixel Samsung S5K3L6 (in a module with an ultra-wide-angle lens) and a 5-megapixel Samsung S5K5E9 for scene depth analysis. Yes, Meizu 21 is the only flagship on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 that does not have a telephoto lens, not to mention a periscope module. And the entire zoom here is achieved only by cropping 200-megapixel images.
Meizu 21 is offered in three configurations: 8/256 GB for $480, 12/256 GB for $520 and 12/512 GB for $565. Retail sales start on December 5th. For comparison, the Redmi K70 Pro costs $460 and is the most affordable Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 model.
