Microsoft has fixed all known issues that prevented Windows 10 from updating
Microsoft has resolved all known issues that prevented some Windows 10 users from installing the latest updates. This means that updates to Windows 10 versions 2004 and 20H2 will become available to absolutely all software platform users shortly.
The latest known issues with installing Windows 10 updates affected computers running Conexant ISST audio drivers with devices from Conexant and Synaptics. During the installation of Windows 10 May 2020 Update (2004) or Windows 10 October 2020 Update (20H2), a crash occurs on the problem device, after which the OS rolls back to its previous state, and all changes made are canceled.
The problem became known in May last year, shortly after Microsoft began mass distribution of Windows 10 (2004). In December last year, the developers fixed two more errors related to the Conexant drivers, which in some cases led to the appearance of blue screens of death (BSOD).
Now Microsoft has removed the latest restrictions, and all users will upgrade to the latest OS versions. According to reports, the latest updates will be available on all compatible devices through Windows Update. It is noted that it may take up to 48 hours before updates become available for download. If necessary, you can update the platform using the Media Creation Tool or using Group Policy.
