Microsoft Surface Laptop 4 scores in AMD Ryzen 7 benchmark
There have been rumors on the internet that Microsoft is planning to release a Surface Laptop 4 with an AMD Ryzen processor and Zen 2 architecture. This laptop has now appeared in the UserBenchmark test.
It is reported that the laptop uses the Ryzen 7 Microsoft Surface Edition of the Renoir generation. The product integrates eight computing cores with the ability to process up to 16 instruction streams simultaneously. The base clock speed is 2.0 GHz, the maximum is 3.7 GHz.
It is talking about the use of graphics Radeon RX Vega 8. It is known that the laptop carries 16 GB of LPDD4-4266 RAM on board.
According to the available information, Microsoft will release at least two modifications of the Surface Laptop 4 on the AMD hardware platform. One of them will receive a Ryzen 7 4980U processor, and the second will receive a Ryzen 5 4680U.
It should be noted that the Surface Laptop 4 family will also include laptops with Intel Tiger Lake-U processors. Thus, buyers will be able to choose the option that suits them best.
Microsoft is rumored to offer Surface Laptop 4 versions with 13.5 and 15-inch displays. The devices will be similar to the Surface Laptop 3 computers shown in the images in terms of design.
