Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 5 smartwatch will get the latest Qualcomm SoC

They will be based on Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1

Mobvoi is starting to advertise the upcoming TicWatch Pro 5 smartwatch. It is not yet clear when the watch will be presented, but it looks like before the end of this month. 

Photos and watch parameters have already leaked to the Web, so we probably know the most important thing: the novelty will be based on SoC Snapdragon W5 + Gen 1 . It was introduced last summer, but either there are no watches with this platform on the market at all, or there are very few of them. In any case, we are talking about the most modern platform for smartwatches, as it is produced according to the 4 nm process technology, which should have a positive effect on autonomy.

Actually, the materials that got on the Web talk about autonomy up to 45 days, but this is in a special mode with limited watch functions. But even without it, in normal mode, the manufacturer promises 80 hours of work, that is, more than three days. Yes, this is not much compared to a number of Huawei, Honor or Amazfit models, but the TicWatch Pro 5 will rely on Wear OS, which is a lot for this platform. And when compared with the Apple Watch or the current Galaxy Watch, this is also an excellent indicator.
