Modder added wall running to Cyberpunk 2077, which the developers planned to implement
Even before the release of Cyberpunk 2077, the developers announced that they had removed the wall running from the game. This function was demonstrated in the materials dedicated to the project for 2018. Under the pseudonym Saturne, the author decided to show how good the aforementioned mechanic would look in the framework of a cyberpunk RPG action from CD Projekt RED. He released a modification called WallRun that adds wall running to Cyberpunk 2077. True, you should not expect much from her.
For the mod to work correctly, the Cyber Tweak Engine utility must be present on the computer. After installing WallRun, it will be possible to assign a jump button to activate the wall run in its settings. After double-clicking near a vertical surface, V will start racing along with it. To stop, press the jump button again. How exactly wall running works can be seen in the video below.
Saturne continues to improve the mod, but it still has a lot of bugs. For example, if you don’t look straight ahead while running on a vertical surface, there is a chance of falling through it. The author created the project as proof that the concept can be put into practice.
WallRun is available for download from Nexus Mods after pre-authorization.
