Modders made Moscow in Microsoft Flight Simulator much more realistic, but it’s not so simple

The market store now has an extension for Microsoft Flight Simulator called Moscow Landmarks from the Drzewiecki Design team. It significantly improves the appearance of the Russian capital in the flight simulator Asobo Studio, but you will have to pay € 11.99 to access the modification. Customers of past Drzewiecki Design products are entitled to discounts as indicated on the product page.

The creators of Microsoft Flight Simulator manually worked only two Moscow sights – the Kremlin and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The rest were created from Bing Maps aerial imagery, and the quality of such objects is far from ideal. Moscow Landmarks corrects the situation by adding ” about a thousand ” realistic buildings. The list includes, for example, the Ostankino TV Tower and the Moscow City International Business Center, as well as walls around the Kremlin that are not in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Recall, the latest creation of Asobo Studio was released on August 18 on PC. The game received almost 9 thousand reviews on Steam, 70% of which were positive. Early negative reviews related to technical problems and the way the files were downloaded to the computer.
