The top version offers iGPU Radeon 780M
GPD has unveiled the Win 4 (2023) handheld game console based on the latest Ryzen 7 7840U and Ryzen 5 7640U APUs. By the way, this is the second Win 4 update in a few months.
Thus, if we are talking about a new top-end version based on the Ryzen 7 7840U, the console will offer the highest level of performance currently available in the segment. The same Asus ROG Ally is based on the Ryzen Z1 Extreme, which is technically a copy of the Ryzen 7 7840U.
More powerful than Steam Deck and more unique than Asus ROG Ally.
The rest of the console has not changed much. It retains the same unusual slider form factor with keyboard access, a six-inch Full HD screen, an LTE modem, and a 46 Wh battery.
Other changes include LPDDR5x-7500 RAM instead of LPDDR5-6400 from 16 to 64 GB and the appearance of versions with flash memory of 512 GB and 4 TB. No pricing details yet, but the previous version of Win 4 with the Ryzen 7 6800U started at $800.
