The plant did not launch recall campaigns
At the request of Rossiyskaya Gazeta, the Moskvich press service commented on the information that the plant allegedly launched three recall/service campaigns at once that relate to Moskvich 3 gasoline crossovers.
“The quality of the cars produced is the priority of the Moskvich plant. In order to take care of our customers, we carry out regular intermediate inspections of components and assemblies of our models, including preventive ones. MAZ Moskvich did not launch a campaign to recall Moskvich cars with unreadable manufacturer labels. Moskvich cars leaving the factory fully comply with OTTS requirements, including the readability of the information presented on the manufacturer’s label. During operation, damage to the label may occur, including those of an operational nature. If this happens, then the label is replaced, which is produced at the factory and sent to the official dealership,” noted RG in the Moskvich press service.
Moskvich commented on the information about the unreadable VIN number on new cars
This week there were reports in the media that the Moskvich 3 crossovers had an unreadable VIN number. Allegedly, the manufacturer ordered dealers to check and replace it, but the latter can only be done at the plant in Moscow.
