“Moskvich 8” and “Moskvich 5”
Next year, 2024, the Moskvich plant plans to introduce at least one new model to the Russian market – a D-class crossover called Moskvich 8.
“We want our lineup to include cars from different segments. Since the end of last year, we have been producing the Moskvich 3 crossover and the Moskvich 3e electric car – this is the B+ compact crossover segment. The new model “Moskvich 6” is a C+ sedan. Next year we plan to show the Moskvich 8, a D-class crossover,” said Alexander Migal, commercial director of the Moscow Automobile Plant, in an interview with TASS.

In addition, the plant plans to produce the Moskvich 5 mid-size crossover. Research is currently being conducted to show how well this machine meets the needs of the market and Russian consumers. Therefore, the model does not yet have a release date.
Earlier, information appeared that Moskvich 5 and Moskvich 8 will be released in 2024. In addition, the Russian Atom car will be assembled at Moskvich under the contract.
From 2025, it is planned to produce a completely Russian electric car, the Moskvich.
Alexander Migal added that there is a huge difference in quality between vehicle kits and finished Moskvich vehicles. At the same time, Moskvich may reduce prices for its cars in the future.
