The palm of the first smartphone in the world with the recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 seems to be a two-way challenge between Motorola and Xiaomi. A record that neither of them wants to miss, and that the first tries to chase with Edge 30 Ultra while the second with the Xiaomi 12 range. And if there are only hypotheses on the presentation of the latter – we are talking about December 12 -, Motorola Edge 30 Ultra already has an official launch date – December 9 – which was further confirmed by the company on Weibo.
In the last few hours, in fact, Motorola has used the Chinese social network to anticipate through some images some of the features of the top of the range with which it will face 2022. Motorola Edge 30 Ultra was recently surprised on the Geekbench benchmark platform with 12 GB of RAM, the quantity of memory that does not figure among the features anticipated by the company but which, in light of the “caliber” of the product, is likely to be part of the configurations offered.
The remaining part of the features about which Motorola has been silent will probably only come out at the time of launch, which is still a few days away. It is still to be understood, for example, if a variant with the front camera under the display will arrive in the wake of Xiaomi Mix 4 or ZTE Axon 30, but to want to cross the advances provided directly by Motorola with those arrived in recent weeks from the rumors you get a fairly complete picture of the top of the range. No assumptions, for the moment, on the price.
