Motorola, now owned by Chinese Lenovo, has unveiled its new low-cost smartphone with a high-capacity battery. The novelty is called Moto G54.
Among the main features are a 6.5-inch IPS screen with Full HD + resolution (1080 × 2400 pixels), an image refresh rate of 120 Hz, a 16 MP front camera, and a 50 MP main camera, SoC Dimensity 7020.
Motorola Moto G54 received different characteristics for different regions
The first regions where Moto G54 sales start are India and China. Interestingly, the Chinese version of the Moto G54 is significantly different from the Indian one. The Chinese Moto G54 received a 5000 mAh battery with support for 15 W charging. The thickness is 8.04 mm, and the smartphone weighs 179.7 grams. The secondary camera on the back is a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The case received a leather-look finish in blue, red, or green. A version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal flash memory is offered for $150.
The Indian version of the Moto G54 received a 6000 mAh battery with 33 W charging support, and the main 50 MP sensor on the camera is complemented by an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle module with autofocus. There is also a 12/256 GB variation in addition to 8/128 GB. This G54 is thicker (8.89mm) and heavier (192g). It has a glass-like plastic finish and comes in three color options – mint green, gray and blue.
Motorola has promised that the Moto G54 will eventually update to Android 14 and receive security updates for 3 years.
