The release of the novelty, presumably, is expected on September 22
Several well-informed whistleblowers told 9to5Mac that mobile operators are asking employees not to take a day off on September 13 due to a major smartphone announcement. Usually at this time, Apple holds a presentation of new iPhones.
Most iPhone announcements took place on a Tuesday, but last year’s event took place on September 7th, a Wednesday. This year, September 13 also falls on a Wednesday, so the iPhone 15 is supposed to be announced on that day.
Named the estimated date of the announcement and start of sales of the iPhone 15
If Apple does announce the new iPhones on September 13th, then pre-orders will begin on Friday, September 15th, and the official start of sales will take place another week later, on September 22nd. By comparison, pre-orders for the iPhone 14 began on September 9th and sales began on September 16th.
Last year, sales of the iPhone 14 Plus began on October 7 due to supply issues. A similar delay occurred in 2020, affecting the launch of the iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini.
Some analysts have predicted that at least one of the iPhone 15 models could be delayed this year, while others believe that sales of all new models will begin in September despite “acute shortages”.
