The new crossover Ford Edge L is presented, which was produced in China at the Changan plant. Seven Changan Ford Edge L models are available for pre-sale in China, priced between $33,000 and $46,400.
Buyers are offered three models with internal combustion engines and four hybrid models. The entry level model is 5-seat, all other models are 7-seat. The automaker said the ICE models will launch in April, with the hybrids coming in July.
The front end features a matrix-patterned chrome grille as well as integrated LED headlights. The car has popular retractable door handles. Ford Edge L is a large SUV with dimensions of 5000 x 1961 x 1773 mm with a wheelbase of 2950 mm.

The entry-level model is equipped with 255/60 R19 wheels, 255/55 R20 wheels are also available, and the ST-Line model is equipped with 21-inch 255/50 R21 aluminum alloy wheels.
The cabin has a long one-piece 27-inch floating large screen that extends from the driver to the co-pilot. The car is powered by Ford SYNC Technology, which supports 4G network, OTA updates, app voice control and Bluetooth-enabled phone connection. Level 2 autopilot is also implemented, which requires the driver to keep their hands on the steering wheel (like Tesla).
Petrol versions with a 2-liter CAF484WQC4 engine have a power of 251 hp. and fuel consumption of 8.44 liters per 100 km. The hybrid version is equipped with a 2.0L CAF484WQH0 turbocharged engine, BYD lithium batteries and a permanent magnet front synchronous motor. The 2.0T engine develops 275 hp and the electric motor adds another 190 hp. The automaker also claims that the hybrid version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds and fuel consumption is 6.3 l/100 km. A full tank of fuel is enough for 1188 km.
