Core i9-14900K will be asking for almost $700

According to insider @momomo_us, the Core i9-14900K will cost $695 versus $600 for the Core i9-13900K.
In general, new processors will rise in price by $40 to $95 compared to the old ones, but this data is only for older models from the Core i5-13600KF. The younger ones may well rise in price less significantly in absolute terms, but in relative terms it will be about the same (15%).

Separately, it is worth highlighting the Core i7-14700K/KF, which will rise in price by $60. Recall that these will be the only models in the lineup that will increase the number of cores, so they will be significantly faster than their predecessors.

True, if it does happen now, it will be much more unprofitable for Intel from a marketing point of view, because the new processors will practically not differ from the current ones.
