Starting next year, three AvtoVAZ models will become two-pedal
AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov, in an interview with Kommersant, spoke about the CVT, which should be an alternative to the manual gearbox in the Lada Vesta NG next year. However, the variator will not become exclusive to Vesta, it will be installed on two other models.
New Lada Granta will also get automatic transmission
“ If we talk about AvtoVAZ as a whole, it is clear that we will not produce Niva Legend with an automatic transmission. It is needed for completely different purposes, just like Niva Travel ,” said Maxim Sokolov.
“ But to equip new Lada Granta cars with an automatic transmission, and, of course, to equip Lada Vesta and Lada Largus cars to a greater extent – this is our primary task, given the fact that today for models of a similar class of using an automatic transmission, it is more 50 percent of the output ,” added the president of AvtoVAZ.
