Nikola Jokic Praises Anthony Davis After Game 1

Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic praised Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis after Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday night.

The Nuggets won Game 1, 133-103, but Davis had a strong game, scoring 37 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

“He’s a great player,” Jokic said of Davis. “He’s one of the best players in the league. He can do everything on the court.”

Jokic also said that he was impressed by Davis’s defense.

“He’s a great defender,” Jokic said. “He can guard one through five. He’s a tough matchup.”

Davis’s performance in Game 1 was a sign that he is healthy and ready to play after missing the final two games of the Nuggets’ first-round series against the Utah Jazz with a sprained right ankle.

“I feel good,” Davis said after Game 1. “I’m just trying to get better every day.”

The Nuggets and Lakers will play Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday night in Denver.

Jokic and Davis: A Matchup for the Ages

Nikola Jokic and Anthony Davis are two of the best players in the NBA, and their matchup in the Western Conference Finals is one of the most anticipated in recent memory.

Jokic is a two-time NBA MVP who is known for his passing, shooting, and rebounding. Davis is a four-time All-Star who is known for his athleticism, defense, and scoring.

The two players have met in the playoffs once before, in the 2020 Western Conference Finals. The Nuggets won that series in five games.

This time around, the Nuggets are the underdogs. They are without Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr., two of their top players.

However, Jokic is playing at an MVP level, and the Nuggets have a deep bench.

The Lakers are the favorites, but they will need Davis to be at his best if they want to win the series.

Davis has been dealing with injuries this season, but he looked healthy in Game 1. He scored 37 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Nuggets and Lakers are two evenly matched-teams. The series will likely come down to which team has the better big man.

Jokic and Davis are two of the best big men in the NBA, and their matchup will be the key to the series.
